UNOPAA MEMBERSHIP CRITERIA

Membership of the UNOPAA 

(1) A person is eligible to be a member of the association if:

    (a) the person is a natural person

    (b) the person has been nominated and approved for membership of the association in accordance with clause 4 and

    (c) is currently financial as required in clause 9.

(2) Membership of the association shall be open to:

    (a) any serving, retired or former police officer or employee of an Australian Police Force or Service who has served or is serving overseas on a United Nations or Australian Government mandated peacekeeping, humanitarian or capacity building mission, or who has otherwise deployed overseas as a police officer or employee in an investigative, emergency response, training, liaison or support role; and

    (b) any person who is an adult family member of a person who served or deployed in any of the capacities in (a) above.

(3) A person who does not meet the criteria in sub-clause (2) may be admitted to membership of the association as an associate member.

(4) Associate members and those awarded honorary membership under Clause 4 are not eligible for election to the National Committee or to the National Executive and do not have a right to vote in the affairs of the association As well as reunions and events, UNOPAA actively works to ensure its members well-being including their receipt of entitlements and welfare services.

Membership Fees Membership fees are currently $20 / Financial Year for all members.
