Dedication of the Australian Peacekeeping Memorial
The Australian Peacekeeping Memorial on Anzac Parade, Canberra was dedicated by the Governor General, Sir Peter Cosgrove, at a ceremony on the 70th Anniversary of Australian Peacekeeping on 14 September 2017.
The memorial commemorates the service of all Australian peacekeepers, past present and into the future. Its dedication culminates the work of the Australian Peacekeeping Memorial Project Committee, whose membership included UNOPAA.
The dedication ceremony was attended by a large number of police peacekeeping veterans. Further details can be obtained from the 30th Edition of True Blue (December 2017) or from the Australian Peacekeeping Memorial Project website.
