75th Anniversary of Australian Peacekeeping

The Department of Veterans Affairs, in conjunction with the AFP and a number of other organisations including UNOPAA, arranged a national commemorative service, in Canberra on Wednesday, 14 September 2022 to recognize the 75th anniversary of Australia's involvement in international peacekeeping operations.
 
All current and former police peacekeepers were invited to attend.  The commemorative service was also be broadcast live across Australia by the ABC and streamed online.
 
The program of events, as it relates to police peacekeepers, was as follows:
 
Wednesday, 14 September 2022
  • a Dawn Service at the National Police Memorial, hosted by the AFP, to specifically honour police peacekeepers who have died in service
  • the 75th Anniversary Commemorative Service, at the Australian Peacekeeping Memorial in Anzac Parade, commencing at 10.00am
  • a casual evening dinner for UNOPAA members and all other attending police at a venue on the Kingston Foreshore.
